How to Install an SSL Certificate on Juniper Netscreen?
Securing your Juniper NetScreen device with an SSL certificate assures encrypted communication and confidentiality of confidential data.
Whether you purchased a certificate from DigiCert, Sectigo, or a Cheap SSL Provider like CheapSSLWEB, it must be properly installed to ensure a seamless SSL handshake and client trust.
This guide will walk you through the entire process of installing your SSL certificate on a Juniper NetScreen device using the WebUI interface.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you will need:
- Primary server certificate – The certificate that your CA has issued for our domain (e.g. your_domain_name.crt).
- Intermediate certificate(s): Intermediate Certificate, also known as CA bundle files, which establish trust between your certificate and the root CA.
- Root certificate – Root Certificate is provided by your CA (TrustedRoot.crt).
- Private key – Created at time of Certificate signing Request (CSR), this can be assumed to be already generated and stored on your device.
- CSR completed and validated – You must ensure you fully generated and validated your CSR, otherwise, please complete that process before continuing.
Before starting the Installation Process, Make Sure you have a CSR file. If you have not created a CSR yet, follow the CSR Generation steps!
